I was wondering if anyone had any inromation pertaining to CAPS conversational programming that comes with new Mori Seiki products(particularly duracenter 5 and nh4000). I have looked around and have had no luck with finding any manuals(the manual we received was not very user friendly) pertaining to CAPS programming on mills. I have found Mori Seiki classes that are put on by a company in North Carolina that also contain CAPS training but I would be interested if any of the above was available more locally(Wichita,KS).Any information that could point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

if the CAPS for your moris is the same as the CAP for my Johnfords (it is just a pretty interface for fanuc cycles, G1020 and so on) the info on the cycles is in the Fanuc manual. I cant help you any more than that as I just discovered that part of the manual today... I usually use the tried and trued "mess with it until it works" method.

You should have a manual about 100 page thicks in light blue color and it says, "Introduce to Conversational Programming" This book contains about 20 examples of programming. It show you how to program and how to define the tool and everything. I recommend you just type in the exactly what the book said and after that you can base on those ideas and make the program that you want.
