Hello All,
Im new to the site. Looking for help, dont know if Im in the right section but here goes. Im looking to motorize my palmgren cross slide table. I have a sherline mill set up with a handheld controller and I love it. I would like to somehow use a simple handheld controller if one exists. The palmgren cross slide will require more powerful motors than sherlines and the leadscrews are larger so the sherline system wont work. I have a jet benchtop mill with dro so making brackets and mounting motors shouldnt be a problem but I dont know what size motors to get, where to get them and how to control them. I would also still need to have handwheels mounted for manual operation of the cross slide. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
