I was trying to get the new UbuntuLiveCD to work last nite but could not get it to come all the way up to check it out. Got signed up on source forge but it is kind of confusing to me, thought I would ask the question hear. I have read some threads that some are having trouble getting Ubuntu to run on their computers, what are the suggestions of this group for a good build to run Ubuntu & EMC2 on? I want to build a control for a more than basic lathe. I was also trying to find the Integraters Handbook but had no luck. Do any of you know how or where I can get this handbook? Buy the way the live CD came from the LinuxCNC.org web site. Also tryed finding the handbook here.

yes, you may not have an IRC or your firewall may be blocking, best to ask these questions of the developers.

uses a java chat, so you'll need some form of java to use that, if you don't need/want java try an IRC program like xchat2irc.
go to freenode, then join emc
