I just saw this in the photo section:

OMG! What a clean build of a mini VMC! I believe he even built the spindle (12k!). He counterweighted the Z axis INSIDE the axis column!

This rivals your stuff Stevie! :)

Currently downloading his dwf files (argh, why can they not be Rhino or dwg files :frown: )

I think it all depends on what you find impressive, is it complexity, or accuracy, or the fact that they made each part from a raw pc of mat'l or..?

Personally I think this one here (http://machsupport.com/forum/index.php?topic=627.0) is pretty impressive, just from the sheer size of it. I know how difficult it is to get things flat and straight/parrallel on something this large.

I've also seen pictures of a machine that was doing some milling on what looked like the head of a pin.. it all depends on what you like :)

Jerry [not gonna post any pic's of my humble beginnings..]

Even better, his website lets you download for free detailed CAD files of every single part.

I just found it impressive because of the documentation and the attention to detail. Certainly things like MadVac's gantry router are equally impressive, as is Stevie's lathe and mill.
