Do I have to install it on the computers I want to acess? kong 11-26-2003, 04:09 PM I've not used that one, but I have used tightVNC (http://www.tightvnc.com/) in the past. Not too bad, it can bring up the client's desktop in a window on the host, and allow you to take control of the mouse to perform admin. Rekd 11-26-2003, 05:10 PM Yes, you have to install it on the other PC as well. It works great. I've used to to run a TFC game server. I'm not sure how the licensing works, you might want to look into it before you install a second copy somewhere else. 'Rekd balsaman 11-26-2003, 05:27 PM I have used this one: RaAdmin http://www.radmin.com/ Works great HomeCNC 11-26-2003, 05:52 PM I use PCAnywhere all the time at work. We use it to connect to our servers that are in another building for maint. Another good program, is supported by Microsoft and is a free download. It comes with XP. You can download it, and install it for 2000. It's called 'Windows Remote Desktop' Go to Microsoft and do a search for it. Chagrin 11-26-2003, 06:03 PM I'll ditto Kong's suggestion of VNC. It's free and even works when using a web browser as a client (handy to have when you're at a remote location and don't want to install a client to connect to your remote desktop) |
