View Full Version : Can this Wabeco mill be converted to CNC

I found a very interesting quality mill on Ebay from Wabeco. I have no experience with cnc converting. Do you think this mill can be a good cnc operated machine. The problem looks for me to be the z axis movement.

It seems kind of puny..I doubt it would hold up under the stress of CNC milling...I would go for a sturdier mill if I were you.

Round column mills are not the best for CNC conversion.

i always say anything can be retro'd but i guess when your done replacing parts on this one there won't be anything left of it.

if it really costs 550euro this is a total nono if you ask me you'ld be way better of with a micromill or a small router depending on what you're machining.
