Any one play with DeskNCrt? I just have a 133mhz all in one computer and need it to control a simple 2 axis router. But it can not make mistakes. So wanted to see if any one has any experiance with this closed-loop software.

Thanks

Are you talking about DeskCNC? A serial port is all it takes to use the board. What is a 133mz all in one computer? The DeskCNC program runs on a PC with Windows 98, XP or Windows 2000. Go to > http://www.deskcnc.com/ and do some research.

Hi Gerry, whats this got to do with DeskCNC? Looks pretty complex, and DOS yet... but if he just wants to try something out. Hmm actually looks interesting... I can handle DOS, I think it just runs signals to a stepper driver, I will check it out later.

I just got my Roug Fu RF-31 back together tonight, the one using the DeskCNC board and the new updated software... Carl has done a great job of keeping the program updated. Now I need a project to mill!! BG

I believe it's an earlier form of DeskCNC. The appeal would be that it would run on an old, slow computer, and the closed loop operation, which DeskCNC does not offer. The board required for closed loop operation, however, does not appear to be available.

They say on their site that you need to get a DRO board from Camtronics for closed loop, but Camtronics dosen't have anything like that.

Any one running DeskNC in dos? Any input on it?

I would put Mach on this computer but it can't even run Master5:(
