I have been lurking here a lot lately and reading a great deal, one thing I have noticed is that there is apparently a great deal of effort in making the shared designs accessible to everyone. Whether that be by construction methods, sources of supply, or whatever.
I wanted to mention, since I haven't seen it here yet, is that there may be another supply alternative. Amazon.com has a new (beta) section for industrial supply: here. (http://www.amazon.com/gp/browse.html/ref=sd_allcatpop_biss/104-0363686-0237544?%5Fencoding=UTF8&node=16310091)
Worth a peek in my opinion.
Edit: Additionally, it may be possible to build a parts list for a DIY linear bearing or something similar, save it as a wishlist or whatnot and have that whole list shareable. I have yet to try that particular idea, but again, worth trying.
