Ok. Here's the deal. My father has just bought a NUM 750 cnc. We use it to draw door designs. Is this called mill, lathe or router?
The thing is that since i have some knowledge over computers, he needs my help. So i need yours :))

1st. I don't know anything about software created for cnc routers. I'm studying the language and learning about G0 and G90 etc etc. but i cannot search for information for my router on the net because i find information like: routers with fixed gantry, moving gantry, drill block by block etc etc. Is there documentation for newbies :), something like a glossary?

2nd. Since we know how to operate it, writing gcode on an old program called Routopath, we're in the market for a program that does some things more easily. To be more specific, is there a program that can: scan an image and conver it to a gcode program ( i don't know if i wrote this correctly or if this is called a traslator). Moreover, it should be able to process the design in order to create the dimensions required. Here i should remind you that since the cnc machine is working with door panels, on a 220cmX100cm table (more or less), the environment should be prefixed (or have an option to become of a predetermined size). Moreover, it should send the gcode to the computer on the cnc machine.

3rd. Is there software that can control the cnc from the pc?

I hope i didn't forget anything. If so, i'll post something else later on.
I hope someone helps me because i don't even know where to start.
Thank you in advance.
