I'm going to take a look at the capabilites of different machines, as I design all my parts for easy and low cost machining.

Anyone else going? Any advice to give me other than good walking shoes?

the best time to go to easttec is the second day all vendors are there and fully set up also bring cash for parking don't give your card to anyone you don't want to hear from (I like to have two cards one with the name of someone I don't care for and give that one to saleman I don't want to hear from)

if you are going to Eastec vistit GBI Cincinnatti stand and take a look at the
Vac magic VM300 workholding fixture or look at there website www.vacmagic.com. Best workholding fixture for anyone that does CNC machining, saves time and reduces setup costs. Well worth taking time to see it. We saw it at Westtec LA 2006.

GREAT NEW WORKHOLDING PRODUCT LINE http://www.solidmax.org designed with all mechanical components for holding 6 to 12 multiple parts with a range of 0.060" per part on any machine vise.

Our Company used a system of 8 pins in front jaw all independantly hydraulically damped all of which were built into a front jaw in the 1970's this system looks identical to the system you are recommending, I will find out more on the system we bought and manufacturers name.
