Is there any one who could tell me how to make a surface texture in a mold for a tubular part that will give a texture like you would find on an old wet suit? I think the texture would be called basket weave. I will be moulding silicone rubber. I have a 3 axis cnc router and would like to make the mould out of aluminum.
Thanks for any help.

I know of a company in Kansas City, Mo. that can probably do it depending on the complexity of the part. They use a lazer engraver set up on a rotating axis for engraving pet alum. molds for the bottle industry.
Email me & I can give you the info.

IIRC I thought some of this is done with chem-milling or chemical/ photo etching.
