This is probobly something real simple that I'm failing to see.
I have Mach2 into a campbell board and gecko201s. On power up the board shows that it and all axis are getting power. The geckos light up. Mach2 says the axis are moving when I hit the jog keys. but the motors are locked solid. The minute I power up the motors lock. On the gekos I have A/A' to a/b and B/B' to c/d.

What sort of PC are you running Mach on and does it pass the OCX test.

Mach software will not run on a slow machine. 1GHz processor is the recommended minimum platform. I have it running on a 600MHz PC (Although I wouldn't recommend this), but it would not run on a 300MHz machine. Gave similar symptoms to what you are getting, looked like it should be working but didn't.
Details of the OCX test is in the documentation and is used to test that you have the driver correctly installed and running.

Make sure your port setting is correct, as well as the pins.

I'm with Gerry. Make sure that the pins are set up right. Double check that the DIR and STEP pins in Mach are not backwards. Also visit the Motor Tuning tab to make sure that the values make sense.

Ah. The compac is 533ghz with 1g ram. I'll take my 2ghz dell down there and hook that up to it and see if that works. The diagnostics show that the port is the right one and I set it up according to Campbell designs instuctions.
My initial thought was because the breakout board lit up as it should and the geckos lit up and the motors are getting current that it may just be some motor wiring I overlooked.
