View Full Version : MC Mill post for Mach3 anyone? PeteZ28 04-08-2006, 12:37 PM Sorry if this has been posted, I couldn't find it in a search. What post is everyone using for Mach 3 software? Thanks! clarkea1 09-07-2006, 07:04 AM Pete, As far as I know, Mach3 reads standard Fanuc G-Code, so the MPFAN processor should do fine. I have a mate who's got a 3 axis mini-mill conversion, and I'm pretty certain that's the post he uses. The MPFAN post seems to spit out pretty standard code, so you should be able to get going with this. If all else fails, the post can be modified (we've done this to get Mastercam producing suitable code for a quite ancient Denford Triac bench mill, with help from some of the guys on here). cheers Alastair asuratman 09-07-2006, 07:21 AM What do you mean by MPFAN? Where to get it from? Thanks. Kilbula. clarkea1 09-07-2006, 08:46 AM Right, I got things a bit wrong!!! I've just checked with my mate with the mini-mill, and he uses the post processor at the following address: http://cnc.novalab.org/files/MACH3B_for_MC9.zip There's also a lathe post as well. Asuratman - the MPFAN post should be part of the standard set that comes with MCam - it was on my copy anyway. Cheers Alastair PeteZ28 09-08-2006, 12:26 AM Wow, holy back from the dead! Glad I subscribed to this thread ;) Thanks for the replies everyone! asuratman 09-08-2006, 03:08 AM Alastair, Thanks FYI. I found that MPFAN when I got in myfriend office, he got MC. Do you think 4 axis post processor the same as 3 axis one. Aristo. |
