Hey All,
Well we have it! A place for Edgecam users to share ideas and ask questions. I plan to contribute as much as I can (as I learn more about Edgecam).
So here's a simple "Did You Know This"
In any box that requires a number, you can type in a math expression.
Radius = 3/2
Did you know if you press theControl key & the = key at the same time (Ctrl = ) is will display the results.
Radius = 1.5

Here's another one: On the graphics screen. Hold down the wheel on your mouse and move left/right/up/down. It a Pan function.

In edgecam try the "Help menu" and then "Contents and Index" Search for "hot keys" chose "Hot Key Assignments"
IMO the help function in edgecam is pretty god. Have been using it for some time for milling

Most times the help is pretty good until you get the one's that say somehing like.....
"The Twizzle options changes the approach to a Twizzel style."
What ever that means... :-)

So what do you guys do when you have Edgecam questions? Do you call Edgecam direct, Your reseller, A friend, Ghostbusters ..... Who.....?

I BOUGHT A LOGITECH MX1000 AND I SET UP THE THUMB BUTTON TO PAN SO I HAVE A BUTTON FOR EACH RANGE OF MOTION (ZOOM, DYNAMIC,PAN)

hey mike, lighting up this board aren't you. i will stop by here more frequently as well.
I always use the Ctrl+zoom (middle wheel) to quickly zoom into an area quickly. Especially useful when I need to get up on a small chamfer in turning so that my chain is in the correct direction.
