Is there an online reference for Shoptask bearings that lists the proper Timken replacement mill and lathe spindle bearings? Does anyone have a reference list on hand?

Thank you!

Hi I got these numbers form JT at shoptask.

The TIMKEN numbers for the bearings are-
Mill 32006X and 32007X
Lathe 32007X and 32008X

http://www.bdi-usa.com/

I contacted these guys about the bearings and they had them in stock but I haven't bought them yet. You can just ask customer service, they knew what I needed.

By the way....

It seems that there are multiple sub-types within those bearing part numbers...

32006X-92KA1
32006X-92KA8

32007X-9EKA1
32007X-92KA1

32008XM-90KM1

Have you managed to narrow the bearings down to the exact number, or is there really any difference?

Hi,

I would suggest calling BDI. I spoke to them on the phone and they knew exactly what I needed, without me telling them any specs or part numbers.

cheers,

DaHui

32006X
32007X
32008X

These are the full assemblies, race and bearings.

I ordered some precision bearings. They run about 10X the cost, but extemely precise and made for MACHINERY.

The only difference, ordering Timkin or FAG is 32006XP.....etc.

The new bearings are extremely smooth. I guess it depends on your application. I felt like I needed the best.

Borris,

Could you give me the exact order number(s) for the High Precision bearings like your talking about?? I am like you, I want the best bearing I can get for the machine. Isn't it the 07 that you have to have 2 of them?

any chance you have a contact number (perhaps name as well), of the rep you spoke with?

Here is a copy of the email I got from BDI:

The attached catalog page shows the dimensions of each component of the
Timken assemblies. The items you listed are ISO Metric sets. Each part
number includes a cone and a matching cup.

Typically the item 32006X 92KA1 will consist of a X32006 and a Y32006 as
components.

The suffix assembly code varies depending on design changes Timken has
made.

The most common and popular sizes are

32006X 92KA1 (consists of X32006 and Y32006)
32007X 92KA1 (consists of X32007 and Y32007)
32008XM 90KM1 (consists of X32008XM and Y32008XM)

Let me know if you have other questions.

Thanks,

Bill
