View Full Version : Reverse axis direction?

I posted this in the Xylotex forum, then decided that I was in the wrong place

So anyway, I have a new Xylotex controller and steppers and I'm running Mach3. The Xylotex setup was their plug-and-play system so all I had to do was plug it together. Well, the Z axis runs backward. I'm not that good with Mach3 (kinda new to CNC altogether) so I don't know if this is a configurable issue - I mean, can I just go somewhere in Mach3 and tell it to reverse one of the axes?

Thanks,
Mark

You may have reversed the polarity to stepper or the signal to controller

It's just plug-and-play. Xylotex wired it and all you have to do is plug the plugs together. I hope they didn't do it backward?
Is it possible to tell Mach3 to run that axis in reverse?

Ports and Pins > Motor OUtputs > Dir ActLow

And if that does not work you can try this. config _ homing/limits and then just click on reversed for the axes you want to reverse.

Thanks for all of the help - lots of ways to deal with this, huh? :)

Thanks,
