I bought a used Puma 230B CNC lathe and all the tooling was stripped off the turret before the sale. Is there a source for tool holders and wedge clamps other than Daewoo? Do any other machine brands use the same type holders as Daewoo to give me more options on who to buy from? I am not referring to inserted carbide holders just the tool wedges, face tool adaptors, and round bar holders.
Thanks

Jim,
Do you have additional machining capabilities? Do you recieve any of the mechanical schematics with the machine?
If so, your most effective choice may be to make the holders and do the finish machining of them on the lathe (this is how they are made at the factory). Essentially you would mill the basic configuration for the holder and bolt holes / threaded holes on a mill (manual or CNC) external to machine. Then mount the holders on the bare turret disk that is on your machine and finish machine the bore (for turning holders) and the slot ( for turning holders) on the machine. If done correctly you can achieve great results!
Best of luck!
MarkT.

Thanks for the info. I have the capabilities but not the time. I would be money ahead buying the items needed instead of tying up machinist's time.
