Hello,
What is the concensus on the 3.25hp Porter Cable router versus the 3.5hp Milwaukee? Any feedback would be much appreciated. Any advantages of one over the other?

I have both the PC 7518 and the MK 5629. I first bougth the PC and then the MK for replacement.
I prefer the MK for the following:
-PC chuck/collet (and bit) get burning hot within few seconds of spin (even at only 10 000 RPM); quite a bunch of fellow Botters have report this problem. The MK doesn't get much hot, even at 22 000 RPM. The PC make a trip to repair twice and the tech rep. said "It's normal..."!
-The MK have a very steady RPM with about 36 increments for RPM setting while the PC is not so steady and has only 4 RPM settings.
-The MK collet are much better designed than the PC; look very alike ER collet (2 piece only; no C-clip).
Both are powerful tool but I have bog down the PC on more occasions... MK have a longer (5 years) warranty and are much more up to their pretencion than PC... MK tools are somewhat more expensive (here in Canada) but well worth if you ask me. Both tools are very easily serviceable.
