Finally got my new CNC machine up and running, Im going to be cutting out some aluminum parts that I would like to have my logo engraved on them. What kind of bits do you guys prefer to use for engraving aluminum. Can they be purchased at Enco or MSC? Thanks for your time...

small ball endmills look nice. Try something around 1/16. And yes Enco sells these bits.

I use Micro 100 spilt point engraving bits with right hand relief in 90 and 60 degree points for fine line work. For bigger stuff a 3/32 ball endmill works nice. Watch your feeds though as even in aluminum it is very easy to snap the tips off of these even at just .010" DOC.

mirco 100 for fine text and ingraving S8000 20 IMP .01 DEEP If your doing artwork 3d profile and emboss then you would want a ball mill because you will be removing an area
