View Full Version : Taig Vs Mini Mill

i have built a few cnc mills 2 sherlines first then a hf mini mill wanted something a little bigger for my basement shop im a machinist by trade 24 years i program and run fadals at my full time job do some jobs at home for extra money but what im asking is i have tried to make that chinese peice of()work laped,better screws,better spindle motor,belt drive years of work the sherline still does better work and finish just to small so i do not want to make a mistake and buy some more junk what do you guys think about the taig 2019 taig mill with 12" travel on x if its good i will buy just there mill and use my cnc stuff from the hf and junk the rest of it thanks

Taig is in the same league as sherline. It's not junk, it's really well built but it's small. just picture the sherline with more travel and there you go, same basic construction (I had that model Taig CNC for a year BTW).
