I have a couple of programs that I need someone to look at to see where things are going wrong with the post. I have tried to upload them on here but I was told that I was trying to upload an invalid type of file.

What do I have to do?

change the ext to somthing else like .zip or .txt

Actually, we'll need the MC files AND the .pst/.txt files to diagnose your problem. Also give a brief explination of the issues you're having.

Guess What? I think I've only gone and cracked it.

What's been happening is I have only been able to produce single toolpaths. If I wanted to machine a part that has a few different operations with different tools I have had to save them as seperate programs. This has meant deleting and retreiving untill the cows come home.

My machine is a 2 axis mill so in my infinate wisdom (?) I have been leaving the retract height and rapid retract blank, thinking that this would only be telling the machine to do something it can't.

I sat down to figure out how to send the programs and the post processor to you guys when I stumbled across something. I was looking in the post processor MPROT.MX2 when I noticed a note near the top of the page that said even though the mill was a 2 axis I still had to enter a retract height and select the rapid retract button.

I regenerated the toolpaths with this done and saved a full program with a load of different operations to a floppy and bunged it in the back of the machine. It worked a treat. I can do one operation, change the tool and press "go" and it moves straight to the start of the next op'. Press go again and it's off on the next cut.
