I am looking to buy some servo motors for an IH vertical mill in a month or two. Can anyone recommend some companies (manufacturers or distributers) of some decent brush DC servo motors?

I am looking for some motors from 400-650 inch-ounces, with or without encoders (I can get them from US Digital if they are without)

Those look too small for my application :( I need something between 400-650 inch ounces.

Peak or continous? The 33004 will give 1124 inch/oz at peak. Plus they do have a bigger range if you check their site. However, I don't think you will need them.

How much would you figure they would cost each? I'm not sure if I'm ready to bug a salesman yet....

I think if I remember rightly they are around $250 to $300 with encoder.
