Hi,
I own a Mac powerbook  and an old IBM p166 notebook and am building the UHU servo controller board that accepts the normal step/dir inputs -
As the pentium win95 and getting on (reliability issues) I would like to know if there are any software packages and USB/parallel converters in which I could get my powerbook working for me ...
I have Vectorworks on it at present, but I cant find any prog's to convert to G-code or output any step/dir signals to a controller board such as the UHU
cheers in advance for any suggestions and help,
Nick
*Sorry - forgot to add that I do have VirtualPC with XP working on the powerbook, but it runs like a dog, so it might be ok for G-code producing softs but no design work (; there is still the USB to parallel connection problem tho ...
