Has anyone made a a face thread or scroll using Gibbscam? I am currently doing this by doing a face roughing routine with .005" depth of cuts going .120" deep and then manually editing each pass to "G32" to get the threading cycle I need for Fanuc "0" and " "18T" controls. It would very nice if I could also get it to make a Higbee start and finish on these parts. The parts are 4.0 od x 2.0 id x .750 wide. The scroll thread is made with a 3mm wide face groove tool cutting a 6mm pitch scroll thread. As far as I can see there is no way Gibbs can do this without editing output to suit my needs. :boxing:
