I am in Los Angeles and am trying to get info to build my own cnc engraver for primarily engraving text and other graphics on aluminum for a product I am making. I have some knowledge of servo motors and use them in a product I make, but I have never done in multi axis stuff. If anyone in LA could offer a hand to teach me some basics to help speed the learning curve that would be very much appreciated($). Esentially I need to build a table to handle some 3/8" aluminum panels approx 4"x4". A low cost machine but precise work is the goal. Please get in touch if you are able to give me hand.

Thanks!

Ok just bought Bobcad, BobArt and MAXNC10CLb machine. If anyone in LA can assist in tutoring to get up to speed let me know! I can offer fee for the right person to get me up and running quickly. Machine is due next week, but softwares will all be installed right away.

Originator,

Take a look at www.propen.com. New those 3000 models are in the $6,000 range but I've seen a couple of used ones out there for under $2,000.00

Good Luck... Hope this helped,
