I talked to my service guy today about a little error my big mill seems to have at EXTREMELY random intervals. Occassionally I start up the machine in the morning and it thinks tool '0' (zero) is in the spindle and I have to pull the tool out and call up a toolchange for the tool I'm now holding in my hand and after the bogus toolchange, reinsert my holder in the spindle.

I haven't figured out why it's doing this, I thought maybe I was powering it down incorrectly but it does it soooo sporadically, that there is no way of knowing why it's doing it. If anyone has had this glitch and knows how to remedy it, please drop me a line.

I should add that it pops a green warning on the screen, so I'm not worried about a crash, I'm just wondering if I could do something different to avoid the hassle.

One last thought, the service guy also said he'd only ran into that problem once before and after a LOT of searching they NEVER found a reason for it, so I'm hoping maybe someone 'out thar' has figured it out...
