Hey, I was looking to see if someone could make two of my micromill XY bearing blocks and mounts. I am a highschool student, so I don't have much money. I have about $40. Really, i doubt some professional could make it for me this cheap, but maybe one of you hobbiest, in your spare time? In return, I have posted my design and photos for anyone to use. These can be made out of any steel, alum, or metal. Could someone help out a fellow machinist get INTO cnc? I don't have access to one, nor can I afford the $250 commercial cnc mounts that one can get over the net for this micromill. Please e-mail me or reply here if you can do this.

Thank you -Zachery

How thick of material Alum. would be the easy'st how many do you need and how many could you sell. Need some more detales I dont have autocad to open your drawing but I might be able to help. You might also see if there is a local trade school with a met tec class you may be able to get a student to do it for a project. Pm me if you need help . Kevin

Hey, I do not plan to sell these, infact, these are free to the public...no money making for me. I just want to convert my micro mill to CNC, but I don't have access to any mills, and frankly, the micromill cannot bore out a hole, or anything accurratly until cnc'd. What I need is two mounts to get me up and running, and then I can make stuff for other fellow hobbiest. I have talked with my local community college, and they won't allow me to make anything there unless I am in their class, so I am outa luck. Being 17, I don't have $200-300 for someone to make me a simple part. If neccissary, I can make the g-code, and everything, if you tell me what feed rate you want, speed..etc.. Oh, forgot to say, the alum needs to be 3/4in thick for two bearings to be put into it(thats what the leadscrew rides on).
Anyone know of someone who isn't looking to make alot of money, but instead help out someone get CNC'd?

btw, I don't need the part to be tapped, or the bearings to be press fit. I just need the raw part, with the holes drilled, as I have the taps at home, and bearings here.
