View Full Version : Can the tool in/tool out function be disabled? Dan B 09-10-2003, 08:09 AM Is there a way to do this? The problem is that when we have the Tri-tech 5-axis head mounted to the machine, hitting this button results in having to dismount and remount the head, which costs us an hour every time. We had a similar problem with our Fada's that have thru-spindle-coolant. If someone hit the COOLANT 2 button when a tool without that feature is in the spindle, the seals would blow out. Shutting the machine down to replace the seals was a real PITA. So, we popped the buttons off and haven't had a problem since.
