Rekd 09-04-2003, 07:20 AM Behind the machine, there are 2 guages, the air guage is on top of a black round solenoid looking thing. It will say psi on the face of it, small letters, and should read between 80 and 100 lbs. Make sure your compressor is outputting enough. 'Rekd ARB 09-04-2003, 08:21 AM Thanks, I'll check that. Do you know if the black solenoid thing is the sensor? I have plenty of air. Sometimes I will get the alarm with the machine just sitting there not cutting. So I think it is a switch issue. Rekd 09-04-2003, 08:57 AM There should be an adjustment knob there with it. I think the black thing is a moisture trap or something. What does the air preasure read when the compressor's not running? 'Rekd ARB 09-04-2003, 01:47 PM 100 psi Rekd 09-04-2003, 02:02 PM If you're at 100, then yes, prolly a switch issue. Min is 80. 'Rekd wms 09-04-2003, 02:30 PM The air pressure switch on most Haas machines is located on top of the spindle head. It is under the cover, and exact location depends on the year of machine. The regulator should be set to 85 Psi and have a minimum of 100 psi line pressure from the compressor. The pressure switch locate on the back air/ oil panel , near the oil tank is the lube line pressure switch. The black solenoid hooked to the regulator is not the pressure switch. ARB 09-04-2003, 08:38 PM Thanks for the switch location. Believe it or not I lowered the pressure at my main reg at the back of the machine from 105 to 90. The alarm went away and the machine ran fine this evening.:) I will have to locate the switch and maybe add a remote gauge to help trouble shoot in the future. Thanks |
