I am a cabinet maker new to cnc, i would like to get some guidance towards learning how to program a cnc router. Iam also a trained machinist, but living here on guam has presented -0- oppurtunities to learn anything about cnc.
Im looking for direction now. Can someone exsplain the G code, *uoo, *mmg to me, best regards

After re-reading your message, it looks like your asking about code from a machine using a special form of g-code. What machine is it?

thanks for the reply, i am purchasing a machine from mainland china, the spec sheet calls out under "Command" G code, *uoo, & *mmg. Software included with the machine is WENTAI Type 3, and Artcam. From what i can see the work coming from the machine is really remarkable 3-d carving's.
we will be useing it to cut counter tops and nest based manufacturing. I am trying to see if it will work with Cabinetvision softeware that i currently use for production. its a big step for us, i have allways wanted to go with cnc as skilled labor here is very hard to find and keep. thanks for the info, best regards

You need to talk to CabinetVision and see if it can write code for that machine. If CabinetVision is doing you're nesting, then you won't need to know how to program it. CabinetVision should be doing it. If it's not, then you need to learn how to setup CabinetVision to do it. Type3 and ArtCAM probably won't do you much good, and I couldn't find out what Wentai is? It looks like it reads regular G-code, in addition to those two other formats.
