has any one converted one of the 1220 LTD's to do cnc lathe turning? I am thinking about converting mine and would like to know if it is a wast of time or if they will do a good job.

well I guess from the response there must not be anyone converting there smithy's to cnc
when I purchased mine it was advertised as cnc ready.But they no longer offer the kit for it ,wonder if there is a problem I am not seeing . Any Ideas?

Yes, I did it. I just posted a website dedicated to it. It shows the detailed conversion of my Smithy 1220 LTD, 3-in-1 machine, with lots of pictures and info (10 MB) showing the entire process.
