Ok guys,

I have a new absurd project in progress.. In brief it is a 'painting' with an X/Y plotter mechanism inside and a bright light instead of a pen.. it plot from behind onto a 'blow paint' coated canvas... this part is easy and done being built..

the hard part is software.. I have been using luberths's HPGL interpreter written in basic, and it works great with 1 file.. i cannot get other files to work well..

anyone have any experience generating .plt files from a windows driver? this is the question...

What is 'blow paint' ? did you mean glow paint?

You should be able to get an HP penplotter driver and use most CAD software. Just print from the CAD software using the pen plotter selection in the printers dialog box.

The CAD software should be able to view many file types. Use a product like Traceart to convert Raster images to vector (dxf).
