Klox Kookaburra 08-27-2003, 06:33 PM Klox, Yep, e-mail me with your questions and I will help you out. cadcam 08-28-2003, 01:14 AM Anyone used BobCAD for an extra axis on a CNC Mill? do you mean extra axis's be two more correct? Klox 08-28-2003, 01:33 PM Yes and no, I know that someone configured Bobcad for a cnc mill + a rotary table..... What about a genuine 5axis machining centre? Klox Klox 08-28-2003, 01:38 PM Sorry guys just had an 18 hour shift. What i meant was a submersible wire eroder (4axis program) + a cnc dividing head. Most of the new submersible wire eroders controls are able to accomodate the extra axis..... Got to go sleep now.... Klox Jennifer 12-03-2003, 07:22 PM We want to use a rotary table on a mill - it doesn't have to be continuous 4 axes...can this be programmed with BobCad? I would imagine that you can perform the index with a single line of custom code, and, if necessary, rotate your part fixture and toolpaths in the CAD window by the same amount before you generate nc code for it. You might get away with rotating the User coordinate system, instead of the model, if you can keep it all straight in your head :) |
