Sleedo Barry_DVRC 02-11-2006, 08:29 PM Sleedo, Thanks for the info. I've chatted with Jack previously for kits - nice guy. I had no idea he was selling EPP. I dread to think what shipping would do the the final price. Thanks again Barry Sleedo 02-12-2006, 07:58 AM I paid $54 total for a 1.3#-2"x24"x9' plank cut to 3' pieces. It was $30 for the foam and $24 for the UPS shipping. I think USPS would be cheaper but I don't know their dim. limits and if it's convenient for Jack. I guess if it were possible he would have offered it as an option. Barry_DVRC 02-12-2006, 11:17 PM That's not too bad. I suspect shipping would not change much for double the quantity. Thanks for the info Barry tbarnea 02-18-2007, 12:42 PM Try US foam http://www.usfoaminc.com/ Tal www.foamlinx.com Micro Rotors 02-19-2007, 06:13 PM There are other places that have it, I cant think off hand of the names. They use it for packing of heavy steel parts. When you call around and you say its for hobby use, the price doubles. You must pretend to me a manufacture and tell them you have precision stainless steel parts you need shipped and EPS will crush. Also ask if the do die cutting on site( makes you sound more legit). Then ask them for a sheet or two to try out before you make a major purchase with them. You will then see just how cheap the stuff really is! How do I know this? I have done it several times! :D Bill |
