I'm also interested in rotary engines. Years ago there was a company by the name of "Racing Beat" they were in Anaheim (California?). They specialised in go faster goodies for rotaries. I must admit i don't know if they still exist.... Klox jonbanquer 08-21-2003, 11:26 PM Klox, >Do you have literature on 2-stroke engine performance >(porting, expansion boxes etc...)? No. If you hit on something that you think is outstanding please let me know. >I'm also interested in rotary engines. Years ago there was >a company by the name of "Racing Beat" they were in Anaheim >(California?). Yup. Many years ago I had their catalog because for a short while I had an RX/7. They had a bunch of stuff for what I think was called the 13B engine. Sold the car after only having it a short time. You had to rev it like crazy and keep the rev's high to go moderately fast. jon Goat 04-10-2005, 02:49 AM Engine Builder's Handbook is one I like Engine Blueprinting is also a good book and reference. David Vizard has written some good books on every aspect of a motor. ie rotating assembly, cam & valvetrain, intake & cylinder heads. Really good reads...most of his examples are using the chevy small block but the info and concepts can be applied to all motors. sbrpollock 04-10-2005, 11:59 AM Read anything by Smokey Yunik.
