Well been on ebay for the past couple of weeks searching for some linear rails for my Z-axis  ....need them to have 2 bearing trucks per rail, size somewhere in the 15 to 20 size (not the wide rail), length 11 to 14 inches (270 mm to 350 mm or so).

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Paul

Paul,

I have a set of THK SHS15 rails that might be suitable. SHS is the best series from THK, loadable in all directions. I have four rails and four bearings and I think the rails are right around 12" long or so. I hadn't really planned on selling them, since they are NIB, but since I decided to build a 5-axis machine instead of a 3-axis, funding is running really low. Let me dig them out tomorrow and I'll PM ya.

Jim

I haven't looked lately, but I waited months to snag some 18" 15mm SS THK's, $40 for the set. Patience is key

I know you said not wide, but what about these? http://cgi.ebay.com/2-NSK-LE15-Linear-Slide-Rail-Guide-CNC-THK-IKO-Motion_W0QQitemZ7546468946QQcategoryZ55826QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

ger21, I looked at those the THK ones are low profile they are similar to what I'm using on the x-axis....I would not use them for the z-axis. I couldn't get enough info on the IKO's so I didn't bid on them.

I'll see what jcolley can dig up.
