hi all im confused as to what sort of power supply i should use
to run a hobbycnc 3 axis driver and 200oz/in steppers from the hobbycnc web page
a 24v pc power supply or what else can i use ?
i want to get the best performance out of them

He (Dave, HobbyCNC) recommends a couple and gives links on his site but some of us made ours out of old microwave transformers. The rewinding is not too difficult if you're not a stickler for appearances. Bubba tells how here:

Use a 36V power supply for best performance.

The Hammond 30vac xmfr Dave recommends will give you about the max voltage the board can handle (30 vac x about 1.4 for going thru the ac/dc conversion = 42-44 vdc. The board handles 44 vdc max).

Dave
