Hi

I'm thinking of getting (making) a CNC router for cutting metal (1-3mm?) and engraving.
To buy a new CNC would be to expencive since this is going to be a hobby, so I think I'll have to make my own CNC.

I have looked at the Zoltar plans and it looks great, but it's not really designed for metal work.
Do you know of any other plans that would fit my use?

Thanx ;)

What kind of metal? Slicing through 1mm aluminum or brass is a LOT different than working with hardened steel.

I'm thinking of making some badges for cars (trunk badges)
I guess it will be stainless steel or polished aluminum, I've heard about some material made out of polycarbonate and some sort of chrome surface (think it was called metallix or something)
That "metallix" material would be best for my badge making.
Anyone who know where I can get this material?
