Hello, can anyone tell me who makes a good 50 taper tool setter (measurer)? And what other name brands are out there. Thanks, Brian

In the machine or out of the machine? Mechanical, laser, optical...?

You could be as simple as a taper holder and a height stand (or a Jo block in the machine), or full blown digital/electronic.

Check Renshaw, Parlec, Lyndex/Nikken, Command, Carbaloy, SPI, etc, etc.

Out of the machine, and optical. Something like in a tool rom, to measure the height and radius.

Then, check out Lyndex/Nikken, (http://www.lyndex.com/prod_preset.asp) Carboloy, (http://www.carboloy.com/) and Parlec (http://www.parlec.com/html/products/presetting.php) just to name a few.
