Hi guys,

I'm after a couple of lengths of trapazoid threaded rod (800mm and a 500mm length), or acme lead screw, plus a few nylon or brass nuts to suit. I'm not looking to spend mucho moola but anything reasonable would be considered.

I've looked at TEA in QLD for rack and pinion components, but I'd prefer to use a screw rather than a track.

Any good suppliers that will deliver to or are in Sydney?

Cheers,
Alan.

TEA also supply trapezoidal threaded bar from diam 10 - 40 and up to 2000mm in length with nuts.

Thanks Cam, I didn't notice it in their catalog CD. Any idea on a ruff price? Prolly after 10-15mm diam.

Thanks again,
Alan.

I have a couple of lengths of thread with brass nuts but the longest I have is 550mm. They are in my way and I'd be happy to get rid of them to help you out, I think I even have the mounting blocks for them.

Give me a call on 02 4257 4111 and I will let you know what I have exactly.

Woo!

I'd be very happy to take these out of your way. :D 550mm will do nicely, I'll probably keep poking around for the 800mm.

I'll give you a call after work or during my lunch breaks sometime this week.

Cheers,
Alan.

Hey guys!

I've just received a large heavy box full of greasy goodness from David at CNCTeknix. He's an absolute champion of a human being!

Not only did I get the acme leadscrews he promised, I got the mounting blocks and bearings too!

Once I finish off my home built mill, I'm going to save my pennies for the CNCTeknix Sieg X3 conversion kit. I'd not seen it before!

Cheers,
Alan.

Got them A-OK, thanks! They're bigger, better and beefier than I expected, they'll be perfect!

Thanks again,
Alan.
