I'm a complete newbie when it comes to Indexable endmills, so bear with me. Can anyone identify this insert? It's a 1/2" diameter, and I've been told it *could* be a WPB-N.

Cold Fusion 08-20-2005, 09:54 PM I just posted an update. wms 08-20-2005, 11:29 PM Andrew, It looks like a "Flat Nose Dapra Finish" insert... A more important question might be, am I going to be able to do slotting in Aluminum with something like this? ViperTX 08-21-2005, 12:54 AM I don't see why not...try it cadman 08-21-2005, 01:31 AM That is a backdraft tool. It is used primarily as a finishing tool for 3 axis machining and for pocketing using light depths of cut. It is not designed for slotting and I wouldn't recommend using it for that. scubanick 08-27-2005, 10:56 PM lmt fette has tools like that i have bought 2 of their finishing balls mills in that form |
