Thanks, Kevin... scubanick 08-15-2005, 10:39 AM i think Velocity is for maintenance customers who have a 3 axis plus seat or higher klclark 08-15-2005, 10:47 AM That would be me then (we have two seats)!! Wohoo!! It's said to be shipping now, so I should be testing it soon. Thanks.. scubanick 08-15-2005, 12:10 PM same here i have talked to one user over seas that already has it klclark 08-15-2005, 12:19 PM That's an area where Surfcam is in need of improvement! The product updates have gone to SH**, I hate waiting for my reseller to get around to sending us a cd. I'm able to download Solidworks updates before they are shipped on cd, then by the time I actually get the CD I don't need it (i like it this way). My Vent... scubanick 08-15-2005, 12:22 PM ya software download would be nice yeah when we have a solidworks update they send an email saying its ready to be downloaded and they do so many i dont see how they could send out cd's all the time what kinda work do you do at your facility where are you located klclark 08-15-2005, 12:31 PM Our shop is located in Erie Pa, (USA) and has been operating for 45 years. We do custom thermoforming; clamshells, blisters, shipping trays, etc. We build most of our tools out of aluminum, and cut some cool looking and challenging geometry. We have been using surfcam and solidworks since 1997 with great success... What type of work do you do; and where are you located? Thanks, Kevin... scubanick 08-15-2005, 12:40 PM im in south carolina i work in a job shop we do just about anything that comes through the door we build dies, fixtures, special machines, prototypes, and one off details. we also have small production parts we run mdlmkr 08-15-2005, 04:35 PM I am pretty sure that you can download it off of surfware.com if you are registered. Also, if you have a "plus" system, it is free. So 2X plus, 3X plus and 4 and 5 axis systems. klclark 08-16-2005, 01:02 PM I'm pretty sure surfware's website blows!!! I have been all over there "secure support site" and can't see anything related to Velocity. I do have two seats of 3axis plus, so I should get it via snail mail when they get around to it.... |
