This Operator Message comes up when trying to do tool change. I was wondering if anyone might have an idea about what is wrong. What usually causes this operator message?

Obviously you have a tool changer on this machine? Operator messages are unique to a make of machine, not Fanuc, as they are written by the tool builder, It looks like it is trying to retrieve a tool that does not exist?
what is the make of machine and don't you have the alarm list?

Thanks for the reply. I was over looking the fact that this machine has a tool change program. The program had been erased. Also the parameters were erased. Problems
fixed machine running. Again thanks for your reply.

have you set the tool up in the control .. offset..or designate a tool that is in it..? Jim
