any knowledge with label printers? I'm printing labels with a barcode, but can't seam to get it to print out good enough for the bar code reader to read it.

Paul you did not mention exactly what "print out good enough" means but if it is a thermal printer and dull print I would clean the head first and then try new label paper. If the print is sharp and black then I would suspect the scanner, make sure the face is not all scratched up and dull.

Oh, the bar code.

Ours gets dust on the head and the barcodes get messed up. I just wipe my finger across the head and it usually fixes it. Never try to blow it clean with air. dust gets all over the ink ribbon and gets transferred to the head. Are you using Cadcode to print your labels? Also try raising the temperature of the head and/or slow down the print speed. Both of these should improve print quality.
