View Full Version : tool setter ACME 07-27-2005, 03:09 AM hi, where can buy tool setter for z-axis? thanks JFettig 07-27-2005, 07:36 AM deskcnc has one, thats all I can think of, you could buy a light up touchprobe from msc or somewhere else and wire it to the computer instead. Or you can try to make one which I tried once, plan to again in the future. Jon psychomill 07-27-2005, 12:13 PM What style are you looking for? Are you looking for just a mobile type for operators at the machine? Are you looking to install one on a machine? Are you looking for an external pre-setter? Optical, laser, touch or mechanical? For what machine (CNC mill, manual mill, lathes, ... )? Theres a ton of them for different reasons, mounting and from several manufacturers. ACME 07-27-2005, 10:16 PM hi, i looking for one something like that http://www.nsknet.or.jp/nisshin/en/e-frametop.htm dont know where can buy that i-50 yes, mobile type... for my little sherline cnc mill and looking for one safety internet shop for shopping with credit card sorry, Jon, deskcnc one look very good but too expensive to me :( thanks RotarySMP 07-28-2005, 08:24 AM MSC direct has this sort of thing. psychomill 07-28-2005, 10:12 AM Nisshin has to be bought direct I believe. You can also check these from Lyndex (http://www.lyndex.com/prod_standard.asp?type=access) (they have 4 different models), SPI, (http://www.emachinetool.com/tooling/temp_top_left.cfm?FamilyID=S983304&Source=PTC) ( or this one ) (http://www.emachinetool.com/tooling/temp_top_right.cfm?FamilyID=S982637&Source=PTC) , etc. I've even just used something simple like a 1-2-3 block. Just as long as you standardize, it works fine. Personally I like dials :) Here it the mechanical, Bulkier then the one I use and not the precision but is also $250 less money and should be fine within +/- .001 or so, which ain't shabby tolerances. Unlike th electronic versions mechanical works on all material, not just conductive. http://cgi.ebay.com/PRECISION-Z-AXIS-SETTER-PRESETTER-GAGE_W0QQitemZ7532990157QQcategoryZ41939QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem ACME 07-30-2005, 12:00 PM thanks, i got it... :) Ken_Shea 07-30-2005, 12:15 PM Which type did you decide on ? |
