blacksmithing is a type of forging without much use of molds and presses.

I know that.

So really all forging would be is make a die and then heat the metal then get a hammer style press and that is forging.

Correct?

That about it. I'm guessing you'd need several hundred thousand dollars worth of eqipment to forge wheels. If not more.
