Has any work been done on getting Marris Freimanis' G2002 (now G100) pulse generator to work with EMC (EMC2)?

If not what what would be the downsides to using an offboard pulse generator?

I have not seen any signs of that on the EMC mailing lists.

Excellent product, and so is the support. My speed went up 5 times over software pulsing, and the motors runs much more quietly. I guess because software stepping have poorer resolution and more jitter.

Matt Shaver is working on getting the GRex to work with EMC.
