They sell they're own used/refurbished machines. miljnor 07-01-2005, 10:16 AM midwest machinery, universal machinery, Jamestown manchinery, and of course HAAS (but good luck getting any of the refurbished stuff, it evaporates so quickly). STAY AWAY FROM S&K machinery (they are crooks and don't stand behind their word) Always send a local HFO teck out to look at the machine before you buy it and get thier report in wriiting. or go yourself. You MUST VERIFIY THE DATE ON THE MACHINe, even the most reputable company will get the year wrong if they don't know where to look.. (the little metal tag on the back of the machine, NOT THE SOFTWARE DATE). I have had numerous machinery dealers try to sell me a machine that is 1994 or 1995 as a 1997 or 1998. It makes a huge difference in options, memory and Hp. I have a 1994 and a 1995 nothing wrong with them you just don't want to pay the higher price for a newer machine and not get it.. Caveat emptor (don't know the if the spelling is good Not up on my latin) but let the buyer beware! SanDiegoCNC 07-28-2005, 04:32 PM Ok, guys. I have one sweet deal if is someone is interested. CNCadmin 08-30-2005, 09:25 AM Here is a bunch of machines- http://www.cnczone.com/classifieds/index.php MBG 08-30-2005, 02:42 PM thanks guys but all these machines are over 30k. I am looking for one that is around 10k-15k.... miljnor 08-30-2005, 03:24 PM good luck with that! It will be a heap or a cheaper brand for that kind of money.. Though I hear that the old style (tupperwear) machines are going for under 15k. Bear 08-30-2005, 04:57 PM Ok, Ill Bite What is a tupperware machine ? Bear miljnor 08-30-2005, 05:11 PM heheh. the very first HAAS that came off the assembly line had a plastic exterior instead of sheetmetal. Thus they coinned the nickname "tupperware" machine. Probably one of the reasons they stopped making them. SanDiegoCNC 12-10-2005, 02:13 AM Ok, guys. I have one sweet deal if is someone is interested. I've got a Haas VF2B with geared head for sale. I got more than I was asking because two guys went into a bidding war (very minor) for the machine. It seems they couldn't wait the six plus weeks to get a new one from the factory. I still lost money on the machine but I feel much better about it all-in-all. SanDiegoCNC 03-03-2007, 05:07 PM I'm happy to say that this machine is sold.
