Well after talking about it for ages i have started my rig, based on the tried and tested roller blade bearing approach with m6 threded rod it certainly looks, the goods and tollerances are very tight. This is a precursor project to a full blown cnc for alloy so the leasons learnt should pay off. The driver board is the open source mm2001 that is all but complete.
