Looking for other members in the South-Central Tenn area. I am about 30 miles south of Murfreesboro, and about an hour below Nashville
(WITHOUT construction..hehe).
Anybody else in the general area?

Well, atleast we know there are 2 of us from tenn. so far. Any luck with building a CNC Mill yet?
I am working on mine still.. had to relocate my workshop to the shed outside due to dust issues with the car.
Now I need to get it re-assembled and re-aligned, and then figure out the software...
I have HEARD OF Athen, TN, but would have to look on Mapquest to actually locate it ...

I am near Ashland City. About a half hour NW of Nashville.
Building a 'hobbycnc.com' type rig. Mostly ready, electronics are going, most of the thing assembled (still need to make my Z axis). It was almost ready to run when we moved from TX last year. I'm just getting back to it now.
It is a light duty rig using a Dremel for the spindel. ... Like I said light duty.
Anyone in the area?

OK. So Ill Re-Resurect this topic as my first post. Im in Chattanooga, and am wanting to learn about CNC Mills/Lathes. Looking for all the info my little head can handle. How to build/what to build, what software would be good. etc. I come from the great state of North Dakota but now live down here. Growing up on a farm I collect Model tractors and want to get into making my own models for a display Im working on. Anyway..This is a great place.
